Dr. Lebo Senoelo is a qualified specialist psychiatrist with a deep passion for holistic, person-centred mental health care. With experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors, she provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric services to individuals from all walks of life.

 

She obtained her MBChB from the University of Pretoria in 2013. Driven by a strong commitment to mental wellness, she went on to complete her Fellowship in Psychiatry through the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2022 and earned her Master of Medicine (MMed) in Psychiatry from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University in 2023.

 

Dr. Senoelo began practicing in psychiatry in 2019 and qualified as a specialist in 2022. Her clinical interests include addiction psychiatry, forensic (medico-legal) psychiatry, and the treatment of mood disorders. She adopts an integrative approach to mental health—addressing not only the biological, but also the psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of well-being.

 

A thoughtful prescriber and advocate for minimal and appropriate medication, she stands firmly against unnecessary poly-pharmacy and is committed to ethical, patient-tailored treatment plans.

 

Known for her empathetic and collaborative manner, Dr. Senoelo works closely with her patients and their families to promote healing, support recovery, and build long-term resilience. She is also a passionate mental health advocate, focused on expanding access to quality psychiatric care in underserved and rural communities across South Africa.
